Kiko Studio
Kiko Studio is a natural art design studio based in London, UK and Irvine, USA. Specialized in plantation installation Design and spatial & interior design.
We are a world-class specialized team in aquascaping, Terrarium & Biopode design and construction. We have operated for 5 years across 6 countries, from family aquascapes to commercial showrooms. We were also awarded in the IVLC 2018 contest and then invited to be the judge for 3 years.
We seek to educate participants about plant ecosystems while facilitating the crafting of unique terrarium pieces that bring a touch of nature into everyday life, by hosting exhibitions and in-person workshops in our retail shop.
Our Team
Aohua Yang is a professional aquascaper, architectural designer, photographer, and chef. He has been keeping fish since he was 3 and he started aquascaping during middle school.
In 2018, Aohua achieved a milestone by securing 9th place in the International Vivarium Layout Contest (IVLC). He was then invited to the Aqua Design Amano (ADA) Nature Aquarium Gallery in Beijing, where he was professionally trained under renowned masters Yusuke Homma and Naru Uchida. Immersing himself in ADA's philosophy of harmonizing artificial design with nature profoundly influenced his perspective. Upon returning to Shanghai, Aohua co-founded Kiko Studio with his best friend, Leo J. Liu. They focused on creating exquisite aquascapes and plant installations. In 2020, he became the youngest member of the Chinese Aquascapers Association.
In 2021, Aohua moved to the UK to pursue his undergraduate degree in Engineering and Architecture at The Bartlett, UCL. During his time in London, he explored innovative design concepts that merged architectural design with living plants. He then developed many 'living architecture' during his academic journey, which ended with a dissertation project of a hybrid moss air purifier 'Omigreen', blending sustainability with aesthetics. After graduation, he decides to pursue the journey of Kiko Studio with Leo J. Liu, to bring the joy and harmony of indoor nature to audiences in London and Los Angeles.

Qiubing Chen is a versatile marketing professional with a rich background in strategic consulting, data analysis, and creative enterprise. She holds an MA in Creative and Collaborative Enterprise from University College London, where she excelled in fostering innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Her academic journey also includes a first-class BA in Japanese Language from North China University of Technology and an exchange experience at Kanagawa University.
With hands-on experience in industries ranging from advanced manufacturing to luxury automotive markets, Qiubing has consistently delivered impactful insights. Her time at PwC China saw her spearheading data-driven strategies for electric and traditional vehicle markets. At THG Ventures, she conducted comprehensive research and provided investment advice through challenging economic times, including the COVID pandemic.
